Abhay Kumar

With over 18 years of professional experience in portfolio management, corporate strategy, and M&A advisory. Currently serving at AIB, He was previously the Associate Director of Healthcare and Life Sciences Portfolio Management at ADQ, one of the region's largest sovereign funds.

In this role, he managed ADQ's extensive healthcare portfolio, which includes over 10 secondary and tertiary care hospitals and 50 ambulatory clinics across Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Al Ain Holding , and Al Dafra region, holding over 40% of the market share in Abu Dhabi.

His core competencies include executing ADQ's strategy for healthcare and life sciences, enhancing drug security, resilience, and operational efficiency of portfolio companies, and identifying new market entry opportunities through acquisitions and partnerships.

Notable achievements include leading transformation initiatives for SEHA healthcare facilities, acquiring and integrating fuel networks in KSA for ADNOC Group Distribution, and expanding NMC Healthcare's presence in Oman, KSA, and Kenya.
